Financial protection when you can’t work
Siemens Healthineers provides you with Short and Long-Term Disability benefits through Lincoln Financial that protect you financially if you are sick or injured for an extended period of time. A disability means that you are unable to perform one or more defined job responsibilities.
Short-Term Disability (STD)
Siemens Healthineers gives you short-term disability coverage for up to 26 weeks to help replace income during the first 6 months of a disability. STD benefits cover non-occupational claims only. If you become disabled, the company will pay 100%* of your salary for weeks 2 – 9 of your disability and 66.67% of your salary for weeks 10 – 26.
* Please note, if you live in a state that offers government‑provided paid family leave or disability benefits, you are required to file for those state benefits.
Your total combined income from both the State and SHS cannot exceed 100% of your regular pay.
