New Hires

Welcome to Siemens Healthineers!

We’re glad you’re here. We understand that the first few weeks and months can be a whirlwind of activities, from understanding your responsibilities, to getting to know your colleagues, and, of course, enrolling in your benefits.

You must enroll for benefits within your first 30 days at Siemens Healthineers, or you won’t be eligible again until the next annual enrollment period (unless you experience a qualified life event during the year).

Personalized Benefits That Work for You

Your Siemens Healthineers benefits offer you options that give you flexibility, value, and support.

Enroll in your health and insurance benefits

You choose your benefits coverage when you are hired and again during the annual enrollment period that occurs each year in the fall. You can only make changes to your Health and Welfare benefits during the year if you have a qualified change in status, known as a life event (e.g., marriage, birth), as defined by the IRS. You may make changes to your Savings Plan elections at any time.

You can enroll for your benefits through mySHSBenefits.com. This website is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week once you are a registered user.

During New Hire enrollment, go to mySHSBenefits.com.

  • Select Enroll in your Benefits on the home page.
  • From the New Hire Welcome page, select Continue.
  • Follow the instructions to Add Your Dependents.
  • Select either Personalize Estimates or No Thanks, depending on your preference.
  • Select Continue to choose the plan you want to enroll in.
  • Select Choose this Plan, as applicable.

Once you’ve made your selections:

  • Note the cost. The Benefits Summary page will provide your pay period and annual cost as you move through the enrollment process, so you understand the impact each choice will have on your pay.
  • Review your choices carefully, and then select Confirm.
Note: Once you click Confirm, you will not be able to make further changes online, even if you have time remaining before your 30-day enrollment window is complete. If you need to make changes during your 30-day enrollment window, please call the Siemens Healthineers Benefits Center (SHBC) at 833-935-3328.
  • Wait to see the Your Enrollment is Confirmed page before exiting, or your enrollment elections will not be saved. When your enrollment is confirmed, your elections will be retroactive to your first day of employment.

Enroll in the Savings Plan

You have two options to enroll in the Savings Plan:

  • Visit siemenshealthineers401k.voya.com and select the Start Saving tile. You can enroll in the plan anytime during your first 30 days with Siemens Healthineers. This is the best way to enroll, because you make the contribution and investment elections that meet your needs.
  • Wait for Siemens Healthineers to automatically enroll you. If you don’t enroll within your first 30 days of employment, you will automatically be enrolled in the Savings Plan default contribution rate, investment fund and Automatic Contribution Escalation feature.

Benefits resources

You have numerous resources to help you make your benefit decisions and to learn more about the options available to you.

The mySHSBenefits.com website

The mySHSBenefits.com website is the first resource to go to. You can register yourself as a new user, and access the site from work or home. Here, you can:

  • Review your personal data or current benefits coverage
  • Find out which plans are available to you
  • Get detailed information about benefits provisions and eligibility
  • Access enrollment decision support tools
  • Enroll in your benefits
  • Review your paycheck deductions

If you don’t have access to mySHSBenefits.com from work or at home, keep in mind that you may be able to access the site through a central employee kiosk. Ask your HR contact if a kiosk is available in your work location.

It’s important to keep your User ID, online Password and phone PIN in a safe place, so you can easily refer to them in case you forget your login information. If you cannot remember your information, you can elect the Forgot User ID/Password prompt and follow the onscreen instructions to receive your User ID or reset your online Password.

Contact the Siemens Healthineers Benefits Center (SHBC) at 833-935-3328: To request your phone PIN, you must contact the SHBC. If you can confirm the last four digits of your mobile phone number or Siemens Healthineers email address, you will be able to reset your phone PIN with the SHBC representative. If you cannot confirm this information, for security purposes, your new PIN will be mailed to you via U.S. postal service (sent to your address on file), which can take up to seven days to receive.

Your health insurance plan provider

In a few situations, your first stop should be the company that administers your health insurance plan. For example, you should contact your insurance plan administrator if you want to:

  • Find network doctors and hospitals
  • Estimate healthcare costs
  • Review plan details
  • Track claim status
  • Request an insurance ID card
  • Review your HRA balance, request reimbursement or pay a claim, and turn on automatic payment feature
  • View your HSA balance, request reimbursement and pay a claim

Dependent verification

If you add dependents to your medical, dental, vision, spouse life, and/or Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) plans, the company will request copies of marriage certificates, birth certificates, and/or proof of common residence to verify the eligibility of your dependents. It’s important that you provide the required documentation by the communicated deadline to ensure your newly enrolled dependents have coverage.
